LIQUID NITROGEN THERAPY - TERAPIA CON NITROGEN LIQUIDO
Dr. Septon has treated you skin lesion with liquid nitrogen. This substance is very cold- minus 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Your lesion is in the upper layer of the skin. The extreme cold causes the upper layer to separate form the lower payers of the skin, forming a blister. The size of the blister is variable. It may be larger than the lesion treated. BLISTER JUICE THERAPY - TERAPIA CON JUGO DE AMPOLLA
Dr. Septon has treated your skin lesions with blister juice (cantharidin) . This substance is extracted from a beetle found in Africa. Your lesion is in the upper layer of the skin. Application of the juice causes the upper layer of the skin to form a blister. This blister separates the lesion from the lower layers of the skin. The size of the blister is variable. The longer the juice is on the skin, the more blistering will occur. THEREFORE, IT IS IMPORTANT TO WASH OFF THE MEDICATION IN __________ HOURS WITH SOAP AND WATER. If allowed to remain on the skin longer than directed, a larger than necessary blister may result. If there is pain before this amount of time, you may wash off the blister juice sooner.
