DRY HANDS INSTRUCTIONS
In the MORNING:
- Apply your medicine (if applicable)
In the EVENING:
- Apply your medicine (if applicable)
- Then apply Zinc Oxide
- Then wear white cotton glove liners and/or an old pair of cotton socks while asleep
- (if using zinc oxide paste, you will have to remove this in the morning with mineral oil)
- Zinc oxide and white cotton glove liners are available without a prescription at your local pharmacy.
- You should launder the gloves or socks every few days in hot water to best remove the build-up.
- A small build-up of zinc oxide and/or medicine inside of the glove or sock (giving it a "goopy" feel) can be beneficial in moisturizing your hands or feet.
Some other tips:
- Remember to protect your hands from chemicals and hot water (such as during household cleaning and dishwashing) by using rubber household gloves.
- When wearing rubber household gloves, you may wish to wear a dry pair of white cotton glove liners between your hands and the household gloves. Moisture can build-up underneath rubber gloves and further add to hand irritation.
- Wash your hands in warm (not hot) water.
- Moisturize frequently throughout the day.
- The thicker the moisturizer, the better.
- Look for moisturizers which come in jars or tubes. Pump lotions contain a lot of water which can further dry out your skin.

En la MANANA:
En la NOCHE:
- Aplique su medicina
- Aplique Zinc Oxide
- Pongase guantes blancos y muy delgados o un par de calcetines de algodon viejo mientras duerma
- Si usa pasta zinc oxide, va a tener que quitarse la pasta en la manana con aceite mineral
- Puede comprar zinc oxide y guantes de algodon sin receta en su farmacia.
- Lave sus guantes o calcetines cada 3-4 dias en agua caliente para remover la capa de zinc oxide y/o medicina.
- Durante los dias que no lave sus guantes o calcetinas, la capa gruesa de zinc oxide y/o su medicina que se va a formar dentro de su guante o calcetin va a ayudar a humectar sus manos y pies aun mas.
Otras sugerencias:
- Recuerde que debe de proteger sus manos de quimicos y del agua caliente. Use guantes de plastico cuando use limpiadores y lave platos.
- Antes de ponerse guantes de plastico pra lavar o limpiar, pongase guantes de algodon blanco para proteger sus manos del agua.
- Lave sus manos en agua calida, NUNCA caliente.
- Use crema humectante frecuentemente durante el dia. Entre mas gruesa la aplicacion de la crema, mejor.
- Solamente compre cremas humectantes que vienen en jarras y tubos.
