Do you accept my insurance?
We participate in most insurance plans. For indemnity plans, we will bill your insurance company. For HMO plans, we will bill your insurance if you bring your referral papers from your referring physician. For all others plans, check with your insurance provider to see if we are in their specific plan. In all cases, you must present your insurance card and photo ID and pay your co-payment to our office at the time of your visit. If you do not have your insurance card and referral, payment in full is due at the time of service.
What if I don't have insurance?
We gladly see patients without insurance. Payment for services will be due at the time of the visit.
How much will my visit cost?
That can only be determined by the physician at the time of the visit. It is based on the complexity of your visit, cost of the procedure, and the time it takes to be resolved.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept major credit cards (MasterCard/Visa/Discover). You can also pay for your copayment and medical or surgical services with cash or a personal check. We accept only cash or credit cards for cosmetic services and products.
Do you treat children?
We enjoy treating patients of all ages, from the very young to senior citizens.
Do you treat hair loss?
Yes! Our practice treats hair loss in both men and women. We treat a variety of diseases and conditions of the hair, skin, and nails.
What if I need to contact the Doctor when the office is closed?
We have 24 hour emergency service for urgent matters if it can't wait for normal office hours.
Do you offer general skin care instruction?
We are always glad to speak to you about skin care. During your appointment, we can answer questions about keeping your skin healthy. We can discuss skin washing, moisturizing, and sun protection. For the convenience of our patients, we carry a line of skin care products, specially chosen by Dr. Septon to care for patients of all skin types.
I use a shampoo that I bought from Dr. Septon. How can I buy more when I need it?
Our specially formulated products are available to you during any of our office hours. You don't have to schedule an appointment with the Doctor to get it. Just call ahead so our staff can have it ready for you.
Do you perform cosmetic procedures?
We offer a number of cosmetic services, including Botox ® injections for wrinkles, KTP laser for prominent facial veins, intense pulse light (IPL) for redness, brown spots, and skin rejuvenation, chemical peels, and medications.
Can my procedure be done on the day of my visit?
The physician needs to evaluate your condition at the initial visit. Sometimes a procedure, such as lesion removal, can be done same-day. In other cases a procedure needs to be scheduled for a subsequent visit. Only at the time of initial evaluation can that decision be made.
Where do you perform surgery?
We perform minor procedures at all of our locations. Major Dermatological surgery is scheduled only at our Libertyville office
Where are you located?
We have two convenient locations- in on Milwaukee Avenue, and in on Greenleaf Avenue. Both offices have parking lots with handicapped spaces.
What are your office hours?
We see patients Monday through Friday and some Saturdays. To accommodate your busy schedule, we also offer lunchtime and evening hours. The offices are closed on weekends and major holidays.
What do I do if I have an emergency?
Go to the nearest emergency room of any of the hospitals on which Dr. Septon is on staff. The doctor there who treat your and get in touch with Dr. Septon or John.
Can I get a prescription refilled in the evenings or on weekends?
Routine refills are done during business hours, Monday through Friday, when we can review your chart.
